As it stands you have 1 5% chance to be born with Magic, if you're lucky enough you get to choose from 3 options (5 if you're a BYOND member) all of which are different types of magic that nobody else has started with. The magic you can randomly gain when creating a character is regular magic, something which can be learned in game via role-play or being taught by another player. But having people capable of starting with magic is just a little something to get the ball rolling.
Dragons and Demons are now created in-game, so to become a Dragon or Demon you have to become one through Role-play. There may be characters who are turned forcefully for the sake of events/lore but other than that, a regular player can become something spectacular if they put the effort in.
Magic can be taught, found, gained or earned as a reward for roleplaying.
